My name is Royce Flores, and I am a dynamic graphic designer specializing in branding and identity design. What inspires me the most is the intersection of art and functionality. For me, design is about purpose over decoration – it must fulfill a need or solve a problem.
I specialize in creating logos, brand guidelines, and cohesive visual identities. Proficient in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, InDesign, and Premiere Pro, I bring versatility and a keen eye for detail to every project. I completed a three-year advanced diploma in Graphic Design at Fanshawe College and have honed my skills through freelance projects that includes Video Advertisements, Merchandise and Photography. A meaningful project of mine was creating a video advertisement encouraging friends and customers to go bike-packing. Using Premiere Pro, I infused authenticity into the video by drawing inspiration from skate videos and applying those principles to commercial storytelling.
Looking ahead, I aim to pursue larger-scale branding and identity projects while diving deeper into UI/UX design and exploring the world of publications. I’m also passionate about advertising and marketing design, constantly seeking opportunities to grow and evolve my craft. My long-term goal is to collaborate with brands I admire, creating work that aligns with my values and vision.
I am an avid learner, immersing myself in the history of graphic design and geeking out on older design methodologies. This passion gives my work a unique blend of timeless principles and contemporary flair. By incorporating classic design techniques and refining them for modern audiences, I aim to help others see the world as I do. It all comes back to purpose over decoration. The concept of “less is more” resonates deeply with me, as it allows me to tell a story with clarity and intention, free from unnecessary embellishment. To me, that is the beauty of great design.
